Petootsy uses smart barking detection chip which sends signals to the collar to only be activated if the barking is coming from your dog.
Smart chip is able to do this because of the advanced technology which recognizes throat's vibrating frequency and based on that - sends the correction signals to the software.

Decrease Temperature - Down to 60°F
Heating Switch - When turned off, it will blow cold air for 60 seconds to cool the fan.
Increase Temperature - Up to 90°F
Timer Switch - When heating switch is on, set fan to shut off after specific hours. When heating switch is off, set fan to start working after specific hours.

You will set the correction mode that you want to turn on, along with the intensity level for each correction. 1 is the lowest, and 7 is the highest. If you don’t want to use the vibration & shock correction, simply adjust the intensity level to 0.
Once you’ve set the correction mode and intensity, put the collar on dogs neck and the collar is ready to work. Once it detects the dogs barking through the sensor that is located in the middle of the metal probes, it will automatically send off correction cycle that you have set, starting from the mild to the strongest correction.
Please make sure that the metal probes touch the skin of the dog, this ensure the distance of the collar to detect his barking, and corrections being properly sent to the dog.
Any training collar has a chance to cause harm, but we do our best to make this device as safe as possible by having different level of intensity available on the collar.

Please be informed that beep is the basic correction, therefore it cannot be turned off.
No, it does not come with remote. This is not a training collar which you can manually send correction to the collar using a remote. This is a bark collar which is designed to automatically send off correction when your dog barks.
The best dog size to use this training collar are dogs over 6 months old, weighing 10-100lbs. The collar strap is also adjustable and can be adjusted starting from 6 to 26 inches.
Yes, the collar has an IP67 waterproof rating. When get wet, just make sure the silicone cap that covers the charging port is in place to prevent water from coming in.
We recommend to put the silicone covers on the metal probes to minimizes stimulation of the shock. However, if you have a rather large dogs, you can also choose not to.
